(Saltator maximus) Il se nourrit de fruits, d'insectes, de nectar et de bourgeons. saltator,grands,bois,costa,rica.

(Crocodylus acutus) Il s'agit d'une des plus grandes espèces de crocodile. Le mâle peut atteindre 6 à 7 mètres et peser jusqu'à 1 tonne. Il fréquente les eaux douces comme les fleuves et les lacs, mais aussi les eaux saumâtres comme les estuaires, les lagunes et les marais. Il se nourrit d'animaux marins, de poissons, de tortues et de crabes. Il chasse aussi des oiseaux et s'attaque au bétail.... Il peut être dangereux pour l'homme. crocodile,americain,costa,rica.

(Pteroglossus torquatus) Il habite la lisière des forêts tropicales humides situées à basse altitude, les plantations de fruits et de café, ainsi que les forêts pluviales basses. Il vit en groupe et se nourrit de fruits mais aussi d'œufs, d'oisillons, de lézards et d'insectes. La nidification s'étale de janvier à août. La femelle dépose 2 à 5 œufs. aracari,collier,costa,rica.

(Ardea melanocephala) Spécialisé dans la chasse aux petits rongeurs, sauterelles, oisillons, lézards et autres insectes, ce bel oiseau poche du Héron cendré s'est attaqué une tortue... Pendant de longues minutes, il va s'évertuer à pourfendre la carapace. Sans y parvenir. Au final, il va l'avaler en l'état !!! heron,melanocephale,kenya,afrique
